Description
Brace yourselves for the most awesome O-event SFU has ever seen! I'm finally putting all my knowledge of SFU campus to a noble cause by placing controls in the most beautiful/epic/hard to find locations. The Beginner course will feature fun control placement and easy navigation (1.2 km). Intermediate will be a medium distance course (3.4 km) that takes you to some harder to find nooks and crannies. Expert will involve difficult control placement and but shorter distances (3.8 km) and less climbing. Elite will be a real 'doosy' - long course (5.4 km), hard route choices, and mixed terrain - so start early

What is ARDF (Radio Orienteering)?
Amateur radio direction finding ARDF, also known as fox hunting, and also known as Radio Orienteering, is a timed event in which individual competitors use a directional radio (see below picture of 80m assembled ARDF receiver) and if needed a topographic map to navigate through an area, park or woods, while looking for radio transmitters.

Combined National, IARU Region 2 ARDF Championships Set for this Summer in Ohio
Combined National, IARU Region 2 ARDF Championships Set for this Summer in Ohio 03/08/2017
The combined USA National ARDF Championships and the IARU Region 2 ARDF Championships will take place from July 31 to August 6 near Cincinnati, Ohio. These will be the 17th USA Championships and the 9th for IARU Region 2.
The OH-KY-IN Amateur Radio Club is organizing the event.

Amateur radio direction finding (ARDF)
Amateur radio direction finding (ARDF, also known as radio orienteering
and radiosport) is an amateur racing sport that combines radio direction
finding with the map and compass skills of orienteering. It is a timed
race in which individual competitors use a topographic map, a magnetic
compass and radio direction finding apparatus to navigate through
diverse wooded terrain while searching for radio transmitters.
